How did the N6A Sam Houston get its name ? I tried looking it up on google with not to much luck . The only thing that I found was that the Houston fire dept wanted a leather helmet like the New Yorker with some different specification that the N5A didn't have . If this is true then why not just name it the Houston ? Also I thought that Sam Houston him self might have some ties with the fire service but if he dose I couldn't find any .  Any help would be greatly appreciated , I hope someone can give us a history lesson .
