Okay, I have seen the threads for firefighter movies and music...what about Firefighter/EMS books? Or are they "no use"?

Personally I love reading!

Which have you read? Do you recommend any? If so, which ones?

I'll start~

I have read too many to count...here are a few that I can remember...(in no particular order)

  1. EMS: The Job of Your Life-Devin Kerins
  2. EMS:The Life of Your Job-(Same author)
  3. Paramedic:Buff to Burnt-George Steffensen
  4. The Night Angel Nine series
  5. Quick! How Do You Dial 9-1-1?-Randy Nickerson
  6. Most of the books by-Joan E. Lloyd and Edwin B. Herman
  7. Both books by-Peter Canning
  8. EMT Rescue-Pat Ivey
  9. The Fire Inside:Firefighters Talk About Their Lives-Steve Delsohn
  10. Rescue Men by Charles Kenny
  11. Fire on the Mountain
  12. Young Men and Fire
  13. Chief : the life of Peter J. Ganci, a New York City Firefighter-by Chris Ganci
  14. Report from Ground Zero-Dennis Smith

These are just the ones that I can remember right now.

I look foward to  your lists!

This one made me cry, too. It was a very good book, though.

I just finished reading:

Memoirs of a firefighter/paramedic

and

Triumph, tragedy and tedium : stories of a Salt Lake City Paramedic-Firefighter, the Sugar House years

Both were very good books!
