I have been a proud member of the Alabama Fire Dept for 20 yrs. Am currently serving my 2nd year as Chief. I have held several positions from social to firematic offices. Other than my wife and kids, this is my life. I love doing it and hope to keep doing it for a long time.

Basicly to give something back to my community. Funny thing is my wife is the one who actually encouraged me to join

Top Issues Facing Responders:

lack of volunteers. Too many training hours. I believe in having as much training as is needed. But some of the requirements are getting out of hand. I also believe the biggest problem is the way we treat each other sometimes. Seems like people personal agendas can hinder the fire department.
