About Me:
I joined my first rescue squad when I was 9 years old. I started out a junior squad member and slowly climbed the ranks and took any training that came available to me. I married my husband 16 years ago and he was a 3rd generation firefighter, therefore that seemed like the next step. I became a certified firefighter last year and we are in the process of starting a first responder program in our fire department, we also have a current fire explorers program in our department and I am the training officer of this unit.
I love EMS and I love to continuously learn new and exciting things in this field.

I sell Pampered Chef for a living, and Melaleuca products.

Why I Love Fire/EMS
Helping others, no reward quite like it.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Safety is a big issue, as well as comradery between volunteer and paid services. We are all in this for the same reason, the love of helping others, its just that some people seem to forget that when those money signs start flashing.....don't get me wrong I have nothing against paid or volunteer, I just don't get why we are always in some sort of competition against each other............band of brothers and sisters.............let us not forget that.
