hey brother...another New Yorker...I grew up (mostly) in Orange County and was a FF in Coldenham way back when...anyways...as far as the county's test goes, study what they tell you and pick up one of those firefighter exam prep books...you can find study stuff online too...just have to look...if your not working out, or in good shape, start now to prep for the CPAT test...its not too hard, but it will kick your butt if you are not ready...I took the old physical agility test before they started the CPAT and that was WAY harder...not much else...oh yeah, don't lie about anything during any interviews or polygraph...they probably know the answers before they ask the questions...there's really only two things they fire people for - lying and being late - so don't do either...stay safe...
