Joined the Juvinile Auxiliary of the North Amityville Fire Company in 1954, was a vollie or aux in FDNY, Dublin (Ireland) F.B., Portran and Districts (Ireland) Fire Brigade, buffed the Auckland Metropolitan Fire Board (New Zealand)

Passed away aged 70 years in Paris Illinois USA on 14th January 2010.
Stu was Editor of New Zealand FireLines Magazine and a Fire Photographer, and also had a lot of dealings with the Auckland Metropolitan Fire Brigade during the transition to a nationalised service known as the New Zealand Fire Service in the 1970's.
He will be sorely missed.

As a young rookie in 1972 was the first time i encountered stu i thought he was a crazy drivinhg his Mercedes speeding onto fire scene in Auckland but he took photos that now are important historical moments in the Auckland Fire Brigades History.
