I perform the duties of Supervisor for up to 14 lower graded firefighters, and six officers. I support and have been involved with EEO Programs. Assign work details, do daily reports, and maintain complete files for my station and some files for the department. I Counsel subordinates when required for work conduct or performance, I set PARS for all my personnel. I Evaluate work performance of assigned personnel. Perform actual fire extinguishment efforts, search and rescue, medical emergencies, hazardous materials emergencies, and crash/salvage firefighting. Train personnel in all methods of firefighting. Maintain all Training Folders for assigned personnel. Respond to fire, aircraft, and medical emergencies and supervise assigned personnel at all emergencies. Since obtaining Station Chief I am serving as Station Four Corry Station. As "A" platoon Station Chief I track time cards and enter the information into SLDCADA. I am familiar with preparing leave schedules. I am familiar with and have a working knowledge of the labor union issues. When needed by the duty assignment watch bill I serve as a Division Fire Chief supervising up to 15 personnel. This includes preparing end of shift reports for the Deputy Fire Chief and Department Fire Chief.

From 01-01 to 01-03 I was a LT with responsibility for managing the Fire Station and managing personnel assigned to the Station. I am responsible for reports and assuring training of all personnel. Since my last promotion I have served 50% of my time as Truck Captain. I support and have been involved with EEO programs. Responsible for protecting life and property from fire, explosions, panic and related disasters. I work both structural and aircraft areas. I protect areas that include hazardous complex facilities; maintenance shops, mecial research; hospital; aircraft maintenance hangars; storage warehouses; ordinance fuel facilities; airfields with runways capable of accommodating all types of aircraft, and docks piers that provide berthing to Naval and Commercial ships.

The fire protection is classified as Class A. I extinguish fires caused by flammable liquids, explosives or any other combustible. I have received certifications in Fire Officer I and II, Fire Inspector I and II, Fire Instructor I, Hazardous Material Operations, Fire Fighter II, Airport Fire Fighter, Driver Operator Pumper, Driver Operator Aerial, Airfield Rescue Fire Fighting Driver Operator, Awareness Level Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT). Operations level Hazardous Material and Incident Command.

I operate fire-fighting equipment. I am responsible for the condition of the assigned apparatus and for the cleanliness and operational readiness. I perform duties as an alarm room dispatcher. I perform duties as nozzleman, turretman, and rescue man. I perform duties as an Engine Captain when needed. I am a driver operator for emergencies on both structural and crash pumper trucks and understand the tactics, positioning, and the aircraft on the field. I am certified in the emergency vehicle operation course (EVOC). I am First Responder certified and Emergency Medical Technician National Standards. I am responsible for treatment and transportation of injured or ill personnel to area hospitals. I drive and operate an ambulance.

I have been trained in auto extrication. I perform inspections of station property including sprinkler systems, first aid fire fighting appliances and other devices used in prevention and suppression of fire. I can effectively communicate both orally and in writing in my position that is used on a daily basis. I am responsible for reading and understanding manuals, instructions, and other guides and making determination and implement effective fire prevention protection functions.
