I have spent 28 years with the Chicago Fire Dept. the first 17 on an als ambulance. Also as a FF/PM I was assigned to one of the first als engine companies in the CFD. I am a Lt/PM on Truck 45 in the Mt. Greenwood neighborhood. I hunt, fish, play the mandolin (bluegrass and Irish sessions) and ride my Harley with my brothers from the Illinois Axemen. I have a daughter who is married to a Chicago cop (who would like to be a Chicago fireman) and 2 sons who are US Marines, one a Sgt. and the other a Lcpl . Both are in the 1/10 (arty). Sgt.Pat has 2 tours in Iraq and a purple heart and is doing 4 more for the Corps. Brian is thinking about re enlisting. We shall see.
Relationship Status:

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I was looking for an outside job. Not working in a cubicle. I liked the brotherhood, the activity and the fact that every day was different
