Keith, Welcome to the Firefighter Nation. I am glad you joined the group. There is lots to do, read and be involved with. Your participation and involvement is important to us all.
Just saw your topic about young officers and wanted to tell you I agree 100% with you. They are too young today and too cocky too, fresh out of firefighter 1 they come charging into the dept and expect respect and an office...its bad I know. Some depts like ours though dont have enough people to field all offices, like us, we had 2 captains that were voted in and then took Firefighter 1, now, they are running for asst chief spots!!! I cant believe it either brother, guess we can only hope for the best and save them when they get into trouble because thats what brothers do.
Hello Keith, i've been trying to get information on the plans for the DIY training tower. I see you left a post for the same. Can you help me out with contact info so that I may persue this for our department. I would like to get started this spring and need to present my plan to the "powers that be" soon.
Thanks for any help you can provide,
