Top Issues Facing Responders:
I think one of the top issues unfortunately, is less and less people are joining the fire service. We have a roster of 60 people and only 52 spots filled. Sadly, quite a few members on our "active" roster are not active at all. Another problem I can see is not too many members training on a regular basis. We have company training every Tuesday and the same hand full of people show up for practice. I believe if you do not practice your skills, there could be serious issues should the occasion arise and you need those skills.
