Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I became a member of my local volunteer fire department after my grandmother and Two young cousins were killed in a trailer fire next door to us. Becoming a fireman was the only thing I could think of to deal with there death If I ever get the chance to save someone,s life then I may not feel so guilty for not being able to save them.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
The challenge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have been fighting the funding war here with our local county leaders!!!!

I would like to hear from some of you here on this sight about your local goverment and how they help or dont help ya,ll?

Our most recent battles have been over coal sevrance taxes........

They say theres nothing they can do however they have in there budget to buy 2 new police cars and 3 new ambulances!!! This would be fine but they are paid orginizations suppose to be able to fund themselfs not what the tax was originally meant to be used for I dont beleive.

Have a great one and hope to hear from many of ya soon.
