Why I Joined Fire/EMS: Because I have a hero complex by nature. I also did a tour in the Army and am currently in the Army National Guard. I've done two tours in Iraq, one strictly volunteer, and I'm considering volunteering to go again.
Why I Love Fire/EMS: Saving lives. If something I do means that someone else can live, Army or fire rescue, then I've lead a good life.
Top Issues Facing Responders:: The terror threat. Most Department out side MAJOR metro areas are not prepared for a chemical/bio/nuclear attack on this country.
