Now serving as Assistant Administrator in Charge [Recruiting] for IPN, the largest and most comprehensive emergency notification service on the planet. Prior to this buffed for FireRadio Boston, Metro Radio, Boston Citywide, NH Statewide, RI and CT Notification, NY/NJ Notification, and their allied systems. Former Lieutenant, International Highway Radio Patrol. Founded the Massachusetts Safety Service in 1980. Extensive background in radio broadcasting and computer systems [MIT '73]. Also studied Criminal Justice at Suffolk University and Community Service Management at UMass-Boston.

Top Issues Facing Responders:
Keeping up with rapidly changing technologies. Maintaining funding in the face of shrinking budgets and reduced number of fires. Attracting the best candidates. Aligning pay and benefits to a level that will allow personnel to stay on the job, especially in EMS. Making Dispatch the fourth profession, establishing national standards for training and performance for 911, call-taking and dispatch personnel.
