Why I Joined Fire/EMS

The fire service is a huge part of my family. Almost 20 of my relatives belong to a department, including my late grandfather and my dad. So when it came that I was old enough to join at the junior level it was not a stretch for me to submit my application.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

I like giving back to the community that helped make me who I am.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

Money is a big issue just like in many small volunteer companies. The municipality contributes very little and we are stuck with old and outdated equipment. However, thanks to the support of the community and the hard work of our members we have been able to carve out enough money to stay at the level of excellence people expect from the fire department.
