About Me:
I have been a member of the Roosevelt Fire Department for 16 years in June. We have approximately 106 volunteer members within 3 stations. We have 6 engines, 1 heavy Rescue truck, a brush truck, an ambulance, and a ladder truck. When I first joined the fire service I joined Roosevelt engine CO. #3. I was a member for 8 years and decided I needed to do more as there were alot of older members in this station and I transferred to Roosevelt Engine co. #2. This is my present home. I have currently held the office of Vice President about 4 1/2 years ago in my station. After I had stepped down from Vice President of my Company I took on the office of Department President. Within this 4 1/2 years span I was the co-chair of our 50th anniversary committee in which we celebrated in 2005. I have also chaired our dinner committee for the past 7 to 8 years. I Curently hold the rank of firefighter and I currently have also taken on the Vice President position at my station once again as well as hold the position of Department President. I am also serving on several other committees within my station like the membership committee, I am the Chairperson for the Review Board, I chair the By-Laws Committee, I also plan almost all of the fundrasiers within the entire department and I plan most all special events that should pop up within my station as well as for my entire department. It sure does keep me busy.

Top Issues Facing Responders:
Not enough Volunteers and too many mandates from the state.
