About Me:
I was raised in a family that my step-father was a career firefighter in Las Vegas Nv I remember watching him going out on calls when we would visit him and thought this what I want to do when I grow up, now that I'm in the job I never new the politics and issues revovling this job but hey I'm learning everyday, in the dept I'm in today we are small but calls are tremendous and we are so busy that training at times takes a back seat to us I guess without a sturdy base of structured training in this career I recieved I would of been done along time ago. Being safe and stopping at times to smell the roses ( keeping the burn out on the down low ) and thanking god for talents I have recieved in this career are the factors to further myself and my family to achieving our goals, I go to work everyday and pray that if I have got to leave on a call that it is not willed or for my selfish endeavors but to provide a service to people in need. When I'm done with my tour and go home to my family I pray everyday that if that one day comes that I must go to my real home in the heavens my family and friends will know I did the best job I could and retire me to old man fire for eternity, until then God Bless and be safe ......

    well hope all is well out there in the feilds of bein a firefighter,hopefully soon i will get my job back still waitin for our arbitration date(almost a year and a half ago!!)what a struggle in life this whole thing has been!!BUT WHAT MY WIFE KEEPS TELLIN ME IT WILL END SOON WITH A HAPPY ENDIN!!

    OKAY TIRED OF SAYING WELL STILL WAITING!! THIS ARBITRATION IS REALLY PISSING ME OFF WE ARE TIRED OF WONDERING WHAT ARE PLANS ARE EITHER WAY!!!! MORE AND MORE NEWS IN THIS TOWN (VERY SHOCKING) RUMORS,HEAR SAY,OR STRICTLY FACTS, ABOUT EITHER THE TOWN MGR,D.A. ATTORNEYS,TOWN ATTORNEYS,THE SHERIFFS DEPT,CHIEF FIRING FIREFIGHTERS (LEFT AND RIGHT) AND REALLY TO TELL YOU THE TRUTH I'M NOT ABIT SURPRISED!!JUST POLITICS AGAIN BEIN PLAYED FOR SOMEONES INTREST,ANOTHER DOLLAR IN THEIR POCKET! ARE ALL SMALL TOWNS LIKE THIS THAT AREN'T INCORPERATED??? AND BY THE WAY THIS IS RODD'S WIFE TIRED OF FIGURING OUT THE BILLS !!!
