Volunteer Firefighter I, First Responder, HazMat A&O
About Me:
Out here writing a book... researching it... NOTHING to do with the Fire Department... But all the same, I got hooked just like everybody else here. Loved my training and all the people I met. Learning a ton. NEVER in a million years thought I'd be driving a big-ass apparatus to a fire, let alone knowing how to flow water from one of those big dogs.
Day Job:
Writer
Relationship Status:
Single
Why I Joined Fire/EMS
Had done wrecks for a couple of years on HWY 17 in Nor Cal. Never did anything about fires but keep away from them. Thought it would be cool to learn to kill them. It is cool.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
Along with the usual bloviating, the admiration of my son.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
If you have issues you can't overcome - learn to. If you get too many issues - grab your helmet and crayons and run, little buddy, run.
Tinkerbell, welcome to the FF Nation. I am glad you dropped in to join the group. Dont be shy. There is lots to do, read and be involved with. Your participation and involvement is important to us all. Takes a bit to kinda figure it all out but you will be glad you did. Have fun and look around.
