    Jonathan; some tips that u may be already be using,
    1: A good well well planned well written resume and sticking to the job description as avertised.
    2: Be prepared to answer questions pertaining to your life, Where do YOU fit into the big picture, What have you done in leadership in life, its not always Fire service question in the interviews. They sometimes like to know about YOU than your fire abilities, you have the certificates for that. All depends on what interview system they use, so find out.
    3: Be well dressed and SELL YOURSELF as no-one else in the interview is going to.
