As you may know Cruisin' With Kids works very closely with EMS, Fire & Rescue, Law Enforcement and Child Care services nationwide to help Keep Kids Safe, and we would like to discuss with you a recent piece about us in the Safe Kids Worldwide Newsletter (an excerpt has been provided below).
Tool for Techs: Free Tag for Techs
The Cruisin’ With Kids Safety Tag™ is a notification tool used by parents and caregivers to alert motorists and EMS that a child is regularly present in a particular automobile or residence. As a service to the community, Cruisin’ With Kids distributes Safety Tags™ to community organizations for distribution at safety events. To date more than 10,000 Safety Tags have been distributed by EMS, law enforcement, and parent and child care organizations nationwide.
Since so many of the nationally certified CPS technicians are involved in the public safety field, we are pleased to offer currently certified CPSTs a FREE Safety Tag. If you are interested in receiving a free Safety Tag™ and product donation information for your organization and community or visit http://www.cruisinwithkids.com/safety.html and complete the Safety Tag™ Sample Request Form.
In addition to the Safety Tag request form, technicians can also check out the brand new Cruisin’ With Kids Community where you can create a free profile page for your organization. The community offers you an opportunity to interact with other safety technicians, and to promote your organization, services, safety information, events, and more for free to all community members.
I was hoping that you may be able to pass along this information to your members and their stations as Cruisin' has recently made a pledge to only make their award winning Safety Tag availabale through Community Heroes like you, and not stores that line the pockets of wall street. In fact, they state this on the front page of their online shop located here:
http://www.cruisinwithkids.com/CruisinWithKidsSafetyShop.html
Cruisin’ With Kids is a family owned company that cares about Kids, Communities, and those that protect them!
Therefore, moving forward Cruisin' With Kids will only make the award winning Safety Tags™ available to the public through its website and through community service organizations like yours to ensure all proceeds of our safety tools go back into your community!
This initiative will be made public via an upcoming press release informing the public about the creation of this new program we have dubbed, “The Cruisin’ With Kids Community Hero Coalition”, “Established to support Main Street and the Community Heroes that keep our communities safe as opposed to lining the pockets of Big Business and Wall Street"
Hi, I was updating my profile page today and under "Rank/Role There" I had to check "Other". I am only involved in the department's Dive Team/Water Rescue. The next time you do an update, is that a category you could add? Thank you very much for the consideration.
Hi, I am Cody Baker. I am a Jr. Firefighter for OVFD, I would like it if you could add me please. I would add you myself but it isn't allowing me to add anyone on FFN. Please and Thank-You... Oh and by the way I love this website.

But that shows up on ALL other peoples profile !! can you or do you have any answers? I would like to see mine and others .. thanks for your help ..
Hello, I am Cody Baker. I am a Jr. Firefighter for a Small Town Fire Department here in Colorado. I would like to know if you would add me as a friend here on this Awsome web site FFN. I will talk to you later.
Chief, I've done some editing and attempted some adding of photos to my profile page. Does the little padlock mean that adding photos is no longer an option?
Just want to know if you can help me. I am a fire officer from South Africa Cape Town. We want start a program with government in connection with assistance in fire grant program, but where do we start. What is the first steps in laying down such a proposal
Hi loser! How are you, how come i only get computer messages in my email never a real note? My daughter had a baby ya know!! I haven't talk to you since her wedding and that was over 6 months ago---NOT NICE!! Remember the party in Canton, GA. You was a big shot from some RFG Association or something. Spread the booze around with the county bosses in Cherokee. Took my daughter out a few times and hit the town up for about $6000 0r so for a fancy assessment "canned computer" BS program. BAD MAN BAD!! You took us for a ride all right!
Really hoping to get you behind the 9/11 Patch Project efforts. Have a look at the FDNNTV.com news story on the project that aired this a.m.: http://www.fdnntv.com/911_Patch_Project
thanks for your consideration!

Hey Chief,
Howdy neighbor. I'm from Elkridge. I'm impressed by your resume'.
I have some marketing ideas of my own I would love to run by you some day. Great site. Keep up the good work.
Are We kidding???....How many people, regardless of Their age do We cut out of vehicles, only to find the cell phone on the floor, still on(in mid- text!).And on the way to the ED....We hear...."Did You get My cell phone?,from the patient.....pfft.......it couldn't be graphic enough as far as I'm concerned to get the point across!
I respond in a rural, high speed road area, with the high school only a mile away from Our station....believe Me when I tell You,it is a very serious issue that is affecting our youth,as well as adults who should know better. Our department does a "mock crash" for every prom year and I do believe this year will deal with the MVC being caused by cell phone/texting given the gravity of the problem. The day that folks believe that it is "Uncool",will be the time when it starts to curb and become a thing of the past.
Hello Web Chief: Since my brother-in-law, an ex-fire chielf from Garfield Fire Dept NJ, came down with brain cancer, I have not been on your web site for quite some time. I had some things to think about. I have retired from the Garfield Fire Dept, NJ, after 31 years of service. It was a long time, and maybe I can have some input to the new younger members that is starting out. Hope to talk to you soon. God Bless and stay safe out there.
Chief could you tell me how I can change my password if I have forgot it. I would like to get active again but my brain seems to be slipping. Old age ?.....can the web master e mail it to me? Thanks.
It has been said over the years that “we need heroes.” We tend to choose people in the public eye that are actors, athletics, or someone who have wealth and power. The criteria we use today are the rich and famous. Is that really the criteria we should have to choosing our own personal hero? Choosing someone because of his or her position in life or because they have wealth and power is neglecting the higher virtues. We should be more concern with who the person is in his or her heart, focused on someone’s character more than anything else.
The transition from the word hero now to leader is the paradigm change I want you to make in your mind. Who are true leaders in our country? Those that are very skillful politicians? No! Those that throw their weight around because they have wealth and power? No. Those that are adept in auguring and talk louder and more passionately than others? No!
How about those who stand on principles? Those who instead of negativity, strive to have a good outlook, strive to see hope, not despair. Those who want truth and justice to reign. Those who are people of integrity, people of high character, people who “walk the talk.” People of courage in their convictions!
The book Profiles in Courage by John F. Kennedy was originally published in 1956. So what have we seen change over the last 50 years? Are the lessons in courage still relevant today? If you haven’t read this Pulitzer Prize winner by one of our former Presidents of the United States, you should. Below I am going to give a brief overview of some of the thoughts from JKF in his famous book Profiles in Courage.
Hi Chief, Can you please tell me how to find all the messages I've sent out. I've looked in my Sent file and I think Firefighternation deletes things after a certain number of months because messages that I sent to and from a male fire fighter in Russia (I think it was) are not there. I sent this fellow several messages and he sent me some, so I can't understand why I can't find them. Thanks. Kathy Williams, Ontario Canada.
Hello Chief , I hope you had a delightful holiday!. I was wondering who was our on-line fire chaplin?. if we don't have one I would like to volunteer. If we do have one I would love to work with that person. If there is anything you need me to do, please feel free to contact me . Grace & peace FF#47- Kimber
You can't tell me that you wouldn't just love having FFN coffee cups. And please note that these cups are made using 100% recycled materials because the FFN care about the environment... or something like that.
