I AM A SECOND GENERATION FIREFIGHTER, SO I GUESS YOU WOULD SAY I WAS BORN INTO IT, I HAVE BEEN AROUND IT ALL MY LIFE. AT THE HEIGHT OF MY FATHERS CAREER IN THE FIRE SERVICE HE WAS ASSISTANT CHIEF OF OUR TOWNS FIRE DEPARTMENT, CHIEF OF THE TOWNS POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND WE WERE STILL FARMING AT THE SAME TIME. AS A CHILD I WANTED NOTHING MORE THAN TO BE LIKE MY DAD, AND I LOVE HELPING OTHERS IN THEIR TIME OF NEED.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
FULLFILMENT IN KNOWING THAT YOU HAVE DONE ALL THAT YOU CAN TO HELP SOME ONE IN THEIR TIME OF NEED
Top Issues Facing Responders:
VOLUNTEERISM IS DOWN; TRAINING IS NOT KEEPING UP WITH TECHNOLOGY; AND SURVIVAL AND SAFETY
Tommy, Welcome to the Firefighter Nation. I am glad you joined the group. There is lots to do, read and be involved with. Your participation and involvement is important to us all. Have fun and look around.

Tommy....that's quiet intresting...I would love to be in NC....I have always loved it, I have been in many part's of NC..and yet to find one area I didn't like, I appreciate the invite to NC...and if and when I get that way I will be sure and look you up!
I am not far from you and if I can be any assistance to you or the department please let me know. I would be glad to meet you. Jay Howell is a very good friend that I have known for over 25 years, ask him about me if you would like.
thanks, it pays to have friends all over, who knows someone might be in another members area and need assistance, works both ways. take care and be proud to be a firefighter. remember we're the crazy ones, everyone else is running out of the building and we are running in.......
what size gloves are you looking for, and what quantity? Our fit is usually a little snug so keep that in mind as you may want to trade up one size larger compared to more traditional bulky structural gloves.
