I hear ya Glyne our call count has gone up by about 20 calls per year for us and we have already had two residental fires this month, I really hope it doesnt dictate for the rest of the year our town only has so many buildings.

  • Jeff Pearson

I'm thankful we have all the gear we need and some pretty nice trucks also. Wouldn't want to do the job when gear wasn't available, but still would. Been slow here, very few fires and only a couple of MVA's. Thats OK with me.

I am a firefighter from Slovakia, I collect firefighter patches and helmets. I would like to trade Slovak firefighter patches, pins, and helmets. My items are brand new, but I do accept old and used patches from all over the world. My email is:

Hey Glyne, Im not doing that bad at all I actually just transfered into a more urban dept about an hour north of NYC keeping busy on the calls, mostly alarm activations being there are 2 colleges in our district one of which I begin attending next week. We've also been catching some amazing thunderstorms. I imagine with the hurricannes you've seen much worse though. So hows everything else well I hope?

    Hi Glyne,

Not much going on here. No fire calls for over two weeks. Good for other people but not for us, haha. Just trying to beat the Texas heat and humidity. How it going down there in Paradise? Billy TCSS
