Why I Joined Fire/EMS: I was a huge fan of Emergency and then as I got older I found all the different aspects of Emergency Services (police, fire,ems, rescue) to be amazing, so i was drawn head first into it.
Why I Love Fire/EMS: kickin ass and breakin glass!!
Top Issues Facing Responders:: need for more dedication, especially in the volunteer departments, funding..we need more money!!

Jay, Just thought I'd tell you that CDF patch you describe as old could be one of about a dozen. CalFire, as they are now called, goes through name changes along with emblem and patch changes about once every ten years, or less. Have a safe shift.
