Why I Joined Fire/EMS
My Father-in-Law is a firefighter and involved in an organization that puts on a Fire School and I help out by taking pictures and other things.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
As an outsider you can not believe all the hard work and training ff's go through too stay up too date.

    Tim great photos! unfortunately I didnt make it to fire school. I was on my yearly family vacation in canada. It was the only time the rest of the family could go. Thats gotta change! I missed so much not being at fire school. Next year should be even better as we proceed with the MERIT Center. The burn tower should be in full function! I cant wait. stay safe and "Everyone goes home".

    yea i was workin at the rehab tent out at the junkyard. u mean tony dinges? i love that man......he and lt. salo have made me the FF that i am today and if it werent for my FF2 instructor mr. dettman i wouldnt be a certified ff right now

    Tim, I know a guy here in the South Suburban Chicago area who is a stringer for all the local TV channels. He rides around with a scanner and shows up at all the fire/rescue emergencies in town. Takes pics and video and sells them to the local TV stations. He might be a good guy to talk to. Let me know and I'll hook you up!

Is it strickly fire or does it involve technical rescue classes too. Does he use outside instructors to do specialty programs like Farmedic, Trench, ect? Happy Holidays to your family. Jim
