Best job in the world! Without question! But I'm too old and too hurt to do it anymore. Now I sit at a console and tell the police and fire units where to go. I'm a civilian in uniform! Talk about a daily stab in the heart! I'm lucky though, it's a good job and I really do enjoy what I do!

  Diana.first thanks for adding me as a friend..Second, the job you describe as a dispatcher is every bit as important as that of a firefighter,line officer, etc. Without your skill & knowledge WE would never get to the FIRE or EMERGENCY INCIDENT...Don't ever say you are "lust a dispatcher"
