took up A.F.F. at Admiral Maritime Training complex
About Me:
livi'n a simple life with my three kids Angela, Monica and Bien. spend's most of my time monitoring the fire frequency and on my computer. sometimes i read articles about public safety, firefighting techniques and documentaries. my wife works overseas, and she is also a member of our group.
At first, my friend asked me to join him on establishing a fire & emergency asssitance group( he was an active staff on disaster management for our town ). Honestly, I really hate hot weather & environment, why should i join? But he assured me, having a good trainning would change my aspects. So i gave it a shot. On trainning, i ranked 1st on all fields( lucky for me! ). Analizing my stats, he told me that i make a good firefighter myself if i pursue. On the otherhand, it was fun. Our first call came and we responded to it by ourselves( we don't have a truck back then ) to render manpower, and we did great! After the situation i was so happy and overwhelmed by how the other firefighters( paid/goverment ) appreciated our efforts and our assistance. Most especially, by how the nieghborhood was delighted knowing there are guys like us around the corner, guys that go "in" when others go "out", guys that deserve thousands but never asks even a single penny, just a simple thanks is worth a million. More calls followed( especially now we have our own truck and being affiliated with other brigades ), and it was then i realized that what was fun in the beginning has turned out to be my PASSION!
Why I Love Fire/EMS
I want to apply what i've learned and to help others thru my passion.
Raymund, welcome to the FF Nation. I am glad you dropped in to join the group. Dont be shy. There is lots to do, read and be involved with. Your participation and involvement is important to us all. Takes a bit to kinda figure it all out but you will be glad you did. Have fun and look around.
