Why I Joined Fire/EMS: I was born this way! LOL! Public Safety has always been my way. I was the kid that always helped others, animals, and I even held funerals when my critters passed on...LOL!

All silliness aside...I have always held the passion in my heart and soul to serve and protect others.

Side Note...I was born on the same day as Florence Nightingale :o)
Why I Love Fire/EMS: The Life Style... excitement...compassion... Helping others...
Top Issues Facing Responders:: Biggest issue is lack of funding...especially with our many volunteer departments in the US.

I hope the issues with your Mom clear up for you also. I have had to deal with that yet. Weekend is going good. Sitting at work with both of the ambulances out in different communities. Have 3 guys left for 2 engines and a ladder. We are soooo overstaffed.

Can't wait until the ice is gone and I can get my boat out and go fishing. I didn't do a lot last year but this year is going to be different.

You are in Cal. right? What part again? I have a sister in Santa Cruz. Works for the college. I'm just south of Green Bay. lots of water when the ice is gone.
