    Been an NT firie for exactly one year. 8 months out of recruits and loving it. Was a paid FF in Victoria for 6 years and a Vol for 16.
    Just got my Telesqrt ticket 2 weeks ago. Very busy station at Alice, we have done about 1250 calls since July 1 last year. Probably end up with about 1400 for the financial year.
    You seen any action there yet? Is it mainly medical assists you do?

    we get about 650 calls a year. not as busy as melbourne and sydney, but we have the same cat. at the moment we are 9, when the a380 gets here we get a ladder appliance and move to cat 10.
    on the books to get a domestic runner too. how many truck do you have, do you run the scania.

    Hello, Andrew. I am not sure what you mean by trading "Badges" but if you mean patches I will have to see if I can get one. Also I am not sure what you meant by "MK 8". I think you were talking about the crash truck my photo. We have two Rosenbauer Panther 6X6. I am not sure if that is same as MK 8.

    Hey Lippy, once again not sure what you mean by cat 9? How ever our airport is an index D. We have 18 guys per 24 hour shift. We work 24 hours on shift and 48 hours off. We have 2 stations. A total of 5 crash trucks (3 Oshkosh and 2 Rosenbauers), 2 Quick Response Trucks, 2 Life Squads, 1 Pumper, 1 Rescue/Pumper, 1 Ladder Truck and 1 Shift Commander's Vehicle. As far as runners we adverage about 1 alert, 2 medicals, and 1 fire run per day.

    Thanks for stopping by, yea -I got my personal training certification a few years ago with a focus in advanced strength and conditioning. It's been a while since I've trained any real clients- just help friends out here and there when I'm not in the gym myself. I will say this though- kettle bells are amazing training tools!     hey there bro, wow that sounds weird lol but you guys are used to it. Here in Arizona a majority of the departments use the 24 on 48 off, thats called the ABC straight, others use ABC kelly which is 24 on. 24 off, 24 on, 24 off, 24 on then 4 days off. as for coming on down here, everywhere is different, almost like night and day. Here in Az a lot of the major cities are in a bind and wont be hiring til at least 2010-12 because of the economy. Also Most of them send the recruits to a 12 week academy then your on a year probation. i guess it just depends on where you want to go in the US.
