Why I Joined Fire/EMS: My dad was a Houma Firefighter and one of my grandfathers was a Fire Chief on the north shore, so I grew up in the fire service. It is in my blood.

thanks :) yeah, emt-i classes are definitely major time suck! ..... took me a year to get i and i'm 1/2 thru the year it takes to go from i to P.... if your paid wouldn't your dept pay you to go thru i school though and give you off work til school was done??
