About Me:
35 years old. Began volunteering @ 15 with Mechanicsville VFD. Career FF-EMT w/ Stafford County Fire and Rescue @ 20. Left there to go to work for Henrico County Division of Fire @ 22 currently assigned Captain @ Station 7......I come from a Fire Service family my dad and brother are both career firefighters, my wife works for the Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services and handles Emergency Operations Training for the entire state as well as being a volunteer EMT-B with our local rescue squad....I am also the proud father of 2 boys. I also enjoy sports and movies.
The statement on the career vs. volly hit the nail on the head. I am paid at a combination station that has no clue how to run it as such. I get so angry at some of the vollys on both of the departments I run on because they don't think they need to train. The only fully career department in this county is in hard times and may have to lay some gguys off. This causes them to take it out on the vollys more often. Not that they didn't before. Well what I wanted to see is if your department had figured out the combination thing yet and if so could I get some info on how you guys do it.
Hey Brother. That video you told me about, was there a title to it? What section was it in? I have been to TheBravestOnline.com before, its a goo site! Let me know where that video is brother. Thanks for the feedback.

It's kinda like a catch 22 because I am taking time off, but I find myself being more depressed because I'm not at work. I'm already in the process of talking to someone. I know it's going to take time, I'm just unsure if I'm able to take the time needed.
