Started with the Detroit Fire Department in 1965, retired with a duty connected disability in 1977.....have served on volunteer Fire Departments in Florida, Georgia, Mississippi and now in Texas. Earned a Bachelor of Theology in 94, a Master of Arts in Christian Psychology in 95, became Ordained and a Fire Chaplain. Belong to Fire Fighter Ministries out of Houston and also to the Federation of Fire Chaplains
My Training:
Besides all my earlier training, acquired knowledge and skills. I am CISM Critical Incident Stress Management) Trained, also teach it and respond to critical incidences. Do counselling of members affected by critical incidents as well as their families and co-workers. Also as an Ordained Minister. I officiate at weddings and funerals etc.

    Hi Thomas,
    Did you know an old Detroit Bat. Chief, Ray Archer? He retired in 1967 a couple of years after you started in Detroit. He used to visit our firehouse regularly until he passed away a few years ago. He sure could tell some stories and had an excellent recall of events and men in Det. fire.
