So that's the guy who is starting all those grass fires I have been going too. I have been looking for a picture of this guy. Cause I'm on the other side of the fire and can't see him to clearly.....

    Hello Robert,
I too just found this site last evening. Anyways I got your message and would love to talk sometime!
  • Randy Macey

Yea! Grass fires are something of a test, kinda like playing chess. But I do love one t-shirt I seen which is from Bomb removal. "if you see me running, keep up!". Well like we say up here, we only have 2 months of bad winter, and that is July and Aug. Rest of the months we are looking at either rain or snow....
  • Randy Macey

Every day is a long day, it was only when we were kids did we think a day was short. There is not enough hours to get done what needs to get done.
  • Randy Macey

So true! Time Management, look it this way. There will be a day where you will be able to sleep. And only sleep. Also a day where you can only talk about what you did. Called aging....
  • Jessica

Well, Im glad your day calmed down...sounded interesting. Deleted me out of what?? Anyways stay safe and have a wonderful weekend
  • Jessica

Oh Okay :o) Well try harder!

Check out Roll Call Forum and put some info about your Fire House in... Like to hear what your station is like, what you have as well as for number for firefighters as well as number of calls. Pass it around to your Firefighter Friends too....

Good to hear you and your crew is safe. We had one here about 2 weeks ago. Not as big as yours, but for us it was stretching the dept. pretty thin. Not my fav. in fighting grass or forest, at least with a house you know it's pretty contained. Hope they gave you some R & R time to play too?
  • Randy Macey

Your a crazy-man.... Wow! That sounds crazy! 1000 people in a camp, guess there was no camp fires eh!
That would take a toll on me for sure, would need to have some time off for sure.... Glad your back I guess?
  • Randy Macey

Now you tell me the master plan... To late, I only have 9 more years and retire. 55 will be my goal,
but like yours better. You know your getting old when your looking forward to retirement.... That sucks! Not for the new truck or house or toy, but your talking retirement...hah!
  • Randy Macey

Money is not everything... But the one who dies with the most toys wins eh! Your right, but I would like to know what it's like to not worry about that money thing. Would be nice to be able to buy what every you want. Although our dollar is close to your dollar, even though things that are made in Canada are cheaper to buy in the Good Old U.S.A. don't under stand that one. Well hope your having a great weekend, it's chilly up here and leaves are starting to change colour. Which means it's not to far before the white stuff shows up....
  • Randy Macey

Ok, fill me in on why when I watch your American Hunting shows you always are going for the ones with the big racks. I'm not sure if I'm missing anything but, up here in Canada we don't eat racks.
Although are deer are much bigger and less of them as when I drove through PA man. They are worse than rats. Did hear once in Florida when I was there that someone was shooting at the hunters. Not sure if was a deer, but that is what the announcer said.
You even can hunt with hand guns, we only use hand guns when my family fur trapped. Think now they have banned that ideal. Best of luck hunting!

Just be careful in those tree stands, had one guy fall out last year. One of the guys that went to that call said he traded in his tree stand for a wheel-chair.
Fell on a rock fence, did not find him till 3 hours later after he did not show up after dark.

Well don't see many bucks on my property... Spring I have 18 or 20 in my back yard. Can not get them to eat garlic for some reason? But Moose is my choice and if the wife goes out for the weekend then I might see about a deer in the back yard.
But with moose have enough meat for the winter,
plus the guys at the fire house love the moose!
  • Firegal77

Hey! Thanks...I may need all the luck i can get!! If all else fails, I lam enjoying living at the beach!
  • Randy Macey

Thanks.... Well even those deer can make a nasty mess. But a moose well it's just has to much weighter behind it.... Thanks again... Have a good one ....
  • Firegal77

Ya, the beach is great! you ever get down this way?
  • Firegal77

Well, next time you're down, we should grab a drink or something! Would be nice to make a friend! lol still very new here! lol
  • Firegal77

Cool, look forward to it! I'll be going to school in Lewes..
