3rd generation firefighter, loving it. my daughter and son work right along side of me. (4th generation now) They make me proud. They have done a wonderful job and are good at what they do.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I am a 3rd generation firefighter, I loved being at the firehouse with my dad. I decided at a young age that I would become a firefighter. At that time it was not very well received but I did it anyway. At age 20 I started with my first volunteer department. I got married and moved away. I returned about 4 years later and joined another volunteer department. I was with them for a few years, then had to move again. After a divorce and raising 2 great kids I jumped on with my current department. Was with the EMS side for 8 years. I love it. The nicest thing is my kids are right there with me, making them 4th generation firefighters/EMT's

Why I Love Fire/EMS

we are(as a whole department) a family of people who are there to help those in need. We need more of this and less of the violence out there.
