I have 3 kids, ages 21, 7, and 5. I am a stay-home mom. In my fire department I am head of our Fire Prevention Team. I love going to the schools and preschools and teaching the kids how to be safe. I have been Secretary and Vice Pres. in my department.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I joined to help my community; my mom, dad and stepmom were all on the Rescue Squad when I was growing up.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
It gives me a great feeling being able to help the people in my town

    I slept like I was in a coma last night. Didn't even wake up until around 9:00 this morning! 10 mile vertical hike followed by burgers and pitchers of beer....that would be enough to level anyone. I'm so sore I can barely walk today!

    So glad you had a good time with the bus extrication!!

    We need to chat about next weekend....I think I'm going to come down Friday night and grab a hotel room...do the class during the day on Saturday, stay for dinner and then head back up. I'd like to sleep in my own bed at least ONE weekend day in the next 8 weeks. :)
