    Hey,
I see you commented on some of my pics... just wanted to give you a little background on the ice-fire.

It was a mutual aid structure fire. Call came out around 3something in the afternoon. It was a whole THREE degrees that day. The first engine left, and then a little after four, our department had run out of bottles so they called for another engine to go with some supplies. I was on that engine, and we ended up staying there until close to 8pm that night. It was a lot of fun slipping and sliding around the fire ground attempting to go from place to place lol. And forget about rolling hose after that one!!
  • LadyChaplain

I took them with my camera... lol. I intern @ the Academy where she's bootcamping.

Yes. My son and I play together as do many guys in my FD.

I still can't believe they invented a game where it's OK to shoot somebody. What a blast and what a great workout.

A friend just opened up a 40 acre home woods course a few miles from us. He wants us to play this Saturday.

I'll let you know how we do.

    Jim -

We played 7-on-7 woods ball today on about a 4 acre course. It was a blast. I got two kills in the first round, including my son and another guy I lit up pretty good.

Unfortunately, those kills were avenged in the second battle when I got lit up like a Christmas tree with 6 welts on my back to prove it.

We'll see about bringing the gun in October. I don't know how much time we'll have.

PS - Thanks for the offer and suggestion on the Ts and patches. Hopefully some other folks will jump on the bandwagon.
  • Jim Brunelle Jr.

Ahh woods ball is the only way to go. Sorry to hear you got blistered! Your welcome on the Tee's and patch, its for a good cause.
Well pack the gun just in case. If your not in a rush to get back we could always play on Sun. There's a place right here in Albany. Besides I have an extra gun we'll throw in MEL's hands.
  • Brian Dumser

Jim, Thanks for the add. I was with Tiger last night getting ready for the " Chief Dennis Allen" benifit. Nice shirts! Thanks for donating. I think the benefit is going to be great and do very well.
  • Dave, NB 9

Jim, I'll see what I can come up with for a shirt. The patch..no problem... Large here too. Private me with your shipping address.
  • Mike Schlags (Captain Busy) Retd

Looks like you've got some steep competition... NOT! For crying out loud, saving children at a house fire alone ought to be enough here. And more importantly, in your photo, you look marvelous, and it's not what you know but how you look! Ok, maybe that's a southern California philosophy but hey, it was a good shot of you wearing the white helmet. I bet you get the votes just on the photo. Best of luck to you on the contest. Let me know if you were the winner. Stay safe brother! Mike from Santa Barbara
