BBQ sauce on a roller..... get them all covered in short time.... Brilliant!!!!
I have an obsession with cooking, and I honestly wouldn't have thought of that. :)
I can’t turn in my application until this May that is when they are being accepted in my neck of the woods. Believe me I can’t wait!!! Wish me luck!!! Have great and SAFE weekend!
We have the home desktop and then there is the laptop which he uses to program the radios. If the laptop is here in the house I use that cause I can sit all comfy on the couch. :o)
We're still not entirely sure what's got me down. Wednesday night I started with the sore throat with a mild fever... which then turned into a severe sore throat, sinus headache, and higher fever on Thursday... Friday morning I had an appointment to see the dr anyways for just a follow up, but it ended up being a sick visit as well. I still had the sore throat, which at that point rendered me dumb, with the headache - fever had passed. Dr. dismissed it as viral, and that I should just rest and hydrate. Okay, sounds like a plan. As I'm on my way out of the doctor's office, I just hit the pavement. Yep. Syncopal episode. I had become so severely dehydrated that my BP dropped and so did I. Dr. ordered an immediate EKG and I was able to bargain my way out of the ambulance ride. She sent me home with a note of 36 hours bedrest. I gave her 24... I've recovered from the syncope, yet I'm still contending with whatever that other.... "viral" thing is.
I just realized where Bristol is now. We hear your skip every day on our monitor at the fire academy. It comes in better than our local dispatch centers.
That's too funny. I'll have to start listening for you on the radio.
Joe - I foolishly let a copy of 20,000 Alarms get away from me a few years back, but I replaced it from e-Bay. A copy pops up there every couple of months, in case you haven't tried that. Folks in "the know" charge a bundle, but every now and then it is sold as just a 'fire book' - I stole mine for about six bucks. Good Luck.
I loved your down to earth, straight forward comments about the color of responders lights. You provided both appropriate weblinks and sound mature advise. Having fire officers such as yourself respond to some of these discussions maintains order and keeps everyone from over reacting or saying things that probably should not be said. Take care, Mike
So how long do you plan on working? I am at a crossroad right now, turning 55 in January. Not sure if I'm quite ready to pull the plug yet... How are you handling this decision?
My plans are to travel teaching with my wife. I've been doing the teaching gig as a sideline my whole career, writing programs and delivering them nationally. I like the job as much as I like riding the right front seat. I can't remember where you work right now but I can tell you this much, one of my goals right now is to be able to sit down with you over dinner and a beer. Life is good. ms
Hey Joe, i just put that song on my page. Feel free to copy it if you like it. Hope your day is going well and youare able to get some of your chores done. :o)
