    Hey Jim;

    In response to your comment on the playground drill video - there were a few kids there the day we filmed the video. We encouraged them to stick around and continue playing as we didn't want to run them off. Plus, they got a kick out of following the members through the drill. The way we look at it is that it's their playground, we're just guests.
  • Kasey

    I got yours yesterday, thanks! You don't need to send anything else unless you just want to.

    You know you’ve had a good time at convention when you have to say “I survived” vs. “I’m back from”. lol. Glad you had fun---- but my inquiring mind is dying for the dirt on whatever fleabag motel you stayed in...
    FYI, bought a car yesterday…..Buh-bye Soccer Mom van.
  • Mary Ellen Shea

    the Mustang is my "next time" car....and it's not going to be a Shelby either....I'm going for a restored '72 Mach...

    PS...I like the black trucks...pay no attention to Farmer Ted.

  • Mary Ellen Shea

    that was a quickie....and what are 75% of our calls?

    Ding, ding, ding....we have a winner boys and girls---false alarm at the school. AGAIN. (insert heavy sigh and an eye-roll here).
    Picking up the car tomorrow---I didn't go sexy sports car, much as I wanted to...my priorities were good mpg, dirt cheap monthly payments, and some fun options on it,which is exactly what I bought---talked them down from 20K to 14K w/ my van trade.

    Hey Jim, well, my program right now is pretty much geared toward the young kids unfortunately. My partner and I have been unsuccessful in being able to get to the older kids. The schools are great for doing the fire drills but to get them to do an assembly has been pretty difficult. If you check out my posts I just put an new one in. The post is really pretty good. If you have any ideas pass them on because we have tried to have an open house and we just can't seem to get the parents to bring the kids out. We have tried weeknights, Saturdays during the day and night and we have even tried a Sunday. We don't know what we are doing wrong. It has been getting pretty depressing until just this year. My post can explain more on what gave me a little bit of hope.. Maybe we can give each other some ideas that will work..
  • Kimberly A Bownas

    Thanks for the comment on my post and I am working on getting the Phantom Fireman story. My partner in crime from the fire prevention team has a copy so, hopefully he will get it to me to post. Any ideas you have would be great. Be safe and talk to you soon..
