hey...Well on how hard it would be it all depends on what your plan is. If you want to stay in the Reserves, I belive the closest FF unit is in Alabma or South Carolina. There are (from my knowledge) no FF units in Florida. I did check because I was thinking about getting out, going back home (to FL) and getting in a unit there. They told me no FF units in the state. Now if you are going to try to go active duty, I know they (Army) are starting up a new unit (now 3 total) at Ft. Lewis, in WA strate. You just have to be persistant with it. Try to see if a unit will pay to send you to the DoD Fire Academy at Goodfellow AFB in San Angelo TX. If you can get the certs, or if you can get Pro Board or IFSAC FFI and II, Hazmat Ops, and Airport FF that is what the Army requires of an E-4 and below Firefighter... I will check with some people I know to find out about Reserve FF units in your area. As far as a 4 yr waiting list, I'm not sure how the Reserves completly work but I know the Active side has no such thing as a waiting list, so it's kinda be "Right Place Right Time" :) Hope this helps. I heard from Ross and he said that Adam,Stewart, Troy and them want to play if they can they know they can't play alstars they just want to play. I look at last years list and I will have 11 returning and maybe Josh if the cutoff date is August. we will have to see who knows this might be the year when we get more than two teams. well I better get ready to go ato sleep talk with you later.

Hey..A LT is in a HQ unit (1 E7 Chief, 1 E6 Inspector, a commo, and supply I think). The Lt is the Fire Marshal, but is an Engineer officer and usually will only stay with the Hq team for a year or two and then move on to Engineer units for the rest of their career. Good dea if you want to be a career Army Officer but not if you want to be a firefighter....Hope this helps, thats as much as I know.....:) Stay Safe....
