About Me:
I have 3 kids, ages 21, 7, and 5. I am a stay-home mom. In my fire department I am head of our Fire Prevention Team. I love going to the schools and preschools and teaching the kids how to be safe. I have been Secretary and Vice Pres. in my department.
Day Job:
Homemaker
Relationship Status:
Married
Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I joined to help my community; my mom, dad and stepmom were all on the Rescue Squad when I was growing up.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
It gives me a great feeling being able to help the people in my town
I am sure between her travel, and the day yesterday she was overly exhausted, hense the lack of comments. She will get on there and see soon enough. :)
Seriously, I'm glad I had an empty stomach or else it could have gotten really ugly around here. The dry heaves were pretty painful, good thing there wasn't anything behind 'em!
Chili with shredded cheddar cheese and saltines broken up and put on top helps with hangovers.... honest, I know from experience and found out about it at our firehouse...
Here's the deal...
I will eat ANY meat product if I get hungry enough, and I'm confident in the manner in which it was prepared. For instance, a few weeks ago I made myself a cheeseburger on the grill. Acceptable only if I make it. And since I'm a fat kid, you can't take away my love of a real Sahlen's hot dog.... again, only if I char that SOB beyond recognition. I am pretty sure though that when I move out next year, I'll come a lot closer to that full blown vegetarianism, as I'll be too poor to buy anything that even resembles meat or meat products (with the exception of an occasional can of Spam... mmmmm yummy!).
Well, it's not just going to be a budget issue... I won't be allowed to work for the first year... soooooooo it's going to be living on mom and dad's $20 a week allowance... IF THAT.
Law school... all the schools I've looked at have an honor code that states that students are not permitted to work off campus, or even claim work study funds during the first year.
My chief said that he's okay with me going, and he'll sign off... so now I just have to meet with the commissioners to have them sign off on the financial aspect. I have to write them a letter explaining what training I will receive and what I hope to get from it. Then I follow that up with a letter in which I beg for money (lol) so they'll pay for it at least somewhat up front. They have an unwritten rule that if you want to go to Montour, you have to pay for everything yourself and then request reimbursement when I get back... but I don't exactly have the $250 to drop right now, so I'm going to see if I can work my way around that.
Hey Kim! Thanks for accepting the add!
So you have family out here huh? Where abouts? Whats there names I may know them! Its a small town after all!!
Hey stay safe and thanks again, tell your hubby to accept my invite too!!! lol

Gross... Texas shouldn't even be a state (backwards, ultra conservative, hicks - waste of space)... and then New Jersey is just an armpit for New York.

I will know for sure within the next two weeks!
I can't wait to cause trouble. My daddy was telling me about all the trouble he caused at Montour Falls... I can't let him down lol.
