    Hows it going, you missed a hell of a call it came in as a comercial structure fire, then it turned into a hazmat scene some1 mixed amonia with bleach. The engine was there the rescue and the truck left at the same time, the rescue pulled behind the engine and the driver got told to pull infront of the engine. He started going and all you heard was a loud bang, he took off the highside compartment door, and we had to take the other 1 off. The rescue is all fudged up. The guy who made the rescue and he replaced the doors last year when they got ripped off his heart sank when he saw the rescue, so both of them will be out sometime soon.

    We had a house explosion in avalon but im sure you heard about that, and then there was a entrapment call at wendys a car got t boned pulling out by the time was dispatched and we cleared it was 15 mins thats pretty good considering we had to take the roof off. I just thought i'd fill u in with some info.

    re your foum on use of medevac.

    I no longer work on a bus, but when I did i think I called a bird once in 31 years. Yet we have certain services in Allegheny County that seem to put a bird in the air before the bus is out of the garage. That I don't understand. Think some providers feel it is easier to turn pt care over to you, then to get tied up for 2 hours or so with a transport into the city.

    On a personal note, I love you flight folks. I have a nephew still alive becuase of the actions of some flight crews a few years. He was hurt so bad in an MVA that his injuries were, in my humble opinion, beyone what most ground medics could have handled. For that, all the flight crews in this region will always hold a special place for me.

    I just thought i would update you on a few stuff thats been happening. We had a bad car accident on Ohio River Boulevard, the roof and doors had to be popped on one car, and the other car the door had to be popped. Everyone survived but one person is in real bad condition. Thursday we should of had an entrapment call to pop a door but of course the police handled it. We still haven't had the big one yet but its close, we almost had it today a guy was saudering a pipe and wood caught fire, he dumped a bucket of water on it which saved it, we basically just checked for extension and ventilated. We are up to 301 calls for the year which is pretty good we passed last years call number by 1 so far. We are also on youtube now all you have to do is type in station 108 in the search box and we will pop up.
