Why I Joined Fire/EMS
When I was working Valet at St Joes hospital there was an incident where a man in an electrical wheelchair rode off the curb resulting in being pinned face down on the concrete, due to policies and procedures the only thing that I could do was call for help. That was when I decided I wanted to be a part of the response crew, someone that is properly trained to help people.

    Depends on which school you go to. TEEX in Texas has a 10 week program that is intense, but is not recognized in all states. Some states require a two year degree program. Wyoming does not offer a course so we have to go out of state and the programs are 6 months to 18 motnhs to complete. My chance has been put on hold until I get back from Kuwait in 2010..
