About Me:
I joined the fire service at the age of 16. I have been involved for 24 years as both a paid and volunteer professional. I have served as Deputy Chief, Assistant Chief, Captain and Lieutenant of my previous fire departments. I am a people person and enjoy giving back to my community. I have a deep desire to help as many people as I can. I am married to my wife Donna of 17 years. Most of my family has been involved in the fire service in some way shape or form. I am currently a member of Valmead Fire-Rescue which I serve in the capacity of Lieutenant. Currently enrolled at AIU going for my bachelors degreee in helathcare management will graduate in July 2011.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I joined the fire and ems service as a calling that I had when I was a teenager. it gives me a great sense of pride and satisfaction knowing that I can make a difference in someone's life.

    i am a emt-i student and i grew up in and around the fire dept my dad was a atlanta crash rescue firefighter for the airport for 18yrs from1960 to 1978 and so i am a firefighter's daughter and i got grap loads of pictures of me involed with the douglasville,ga /douglas co fire dept we have a banquit coming up in may that i am helping with and i check up on all my guy's we have ten fire stations here and all but 2 are componation station we have about 20 females in our fire dept and about 200 fire fighters/emts but our emt's are very limited and so are our paramedic cause of the pay they go to privite units for more money and i am just doing the emt-i class so that i can get into the fire stationsand later be come a firefighter that is what i really want cause we dont have voloteers here in my county we only have paid and the countys that do a person has to live in that county to become a voltneer firefighter and we dont even have the explorers here either cause my son wants to become a firefighter also right now he is only 8yrs old
