Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I was a ginny pig for a rescue team at a coal mine. They used me as a victim during their trainings when I was 17 yrs old. Once they dropped me over a tower in a stokes basket I was hooked. When I turned 18 yrs old I joined a fire dept.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
The adrenaline rush when the tones go off and you don't know what you got til you get there.

Have a great weekend and thanks again for being part of our social network!
Been a little busy here. Last weekend we had two arson fires at the university. One in a building under construction which was just the contents in a cinderblock room. the other was the concession stand at the football stadium. That was destroyed. Other than that, we've been quiet. Looking forward to a quiet weekend. Hope ya have one too!
Hi Kelly,
No we are not to busy this time of year. A couple of brush fires, and a good amount of false alarms. We also do marine rescues in the jamaica bay area, but just mostly people running out of gas.
