    Carter, I had the opportunity to help on one of those arson fires near Lake Arrowhead last month. I just want to say, that was the best experience I have had working in California so far. We had every kind of firefighter and ems personnel that exists, and we were a team. They got one of the arsonists while we were there, but said there was at least one more. I hope they are found and brought to justice. Be Safe, Wendy

    I have heard the Blm is a good org to work for, I work for DHS/FEMA. we are the only FEMA fire Dept. Sometimes a good thing others really Bad. Good luck and if you need any questions answered let me know, I have been with Govt. for almost 30yrs.

    It is best if you get your firefighter I &II and EMT, if you can get Hazmat that is a plus. Then just follow the Instructions to a T. If you read the job announcement, look for key words, take the key words and put them in your application. Also if you are not a strong writer, let someone who is write your KSA's (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) if you see a job that sparks your interest let me know the job announcement number and the date that it closes and I can help you out better.
