Other Past or Current Departments and Organizations
I've only ever done the private ambulance scene as of yet. But I did help out at a Volunteer FD back in Ohio.
My Training:
EMT-B
About Me:
I am 21 yrs old and have been doing Private ambulance since the day I turned 18!!! I enjoy every lil bit of work that I do. I worked off and on with a volunteer dept. out in Ohio when they needed a hand in anything. I'm a no games no BS kind of person. I enjoy the work that I do and do it because I love it. I may be a girl but I can hang with the best of the boys!!! :P
I enjoy helping people and I am a little bit of an adrenaline junkie! I grew up with family doing the medical thing, and my dad was a cop. I liked the idea of being a paramedic, thought it'd be fun, interesting, and a job that changed every day. I never thought I'd become a firefighter at first, didn't think I could handle even to PASS the tests etc. But I did!!!
Why I Love Fire/EMS
The job changes EVERY call!!! I like to be kept on my toes a little bit!!!
Welcome to the Firefighter Nation. In addition to the relatively cool videos and fire scene photos, there are numerous groups, discussions and chat available.

Just remember to always do the best you can, that is what is expected...leave the work in the ambulance it can have a tendancy to haunt you if you don't. If you are dedicated you will do great.
OK so not only did I live close to you, I also worked for Rural/Metro back in 2006. DO you know any of the critical care transport guys? My old partner got hired on just before I left.
I worked there from March of 2006 to November of 2006. My partner George Miu went to the CCT team just a week before I left. We were both full timebut I worked alot of odd shifts for Jamie when ever he needed me. I worked the 7a to 7p, I think B shift, when I was full time. But I also worked 4p to 12a, and various other day shifts.
Day walker my ass. All I work anymore is night shifts here in Iowa. I liked working there but pay sucked, I am running a 911 service now as a basic makin $10.44. It is a little better but not too much.
