Just running through my "friends" list to say hi and see how everyone is. It's not called networking if you don't work, huh? Your site looks great; I've got to try and do something different on mine other than the basic "stone". Anyway, hope all is well in lovely Houston. I liked the whole blog about your first time driving the BRT, very funny stuff...

  • Mick Mayers

Wondering if you are floating around with Humberto or not. He's coming here next, I guess, but he looks like he's running out of steam.
  • Mick Mayers

Unfortunately that "I" storm out in the Atlantic right now has a bead on us. You won't hear that from any of the hurricane center people or anything.

I know this of course, because I am on vacation next week and invariably, when I am looking forward to vacation, something tries to threaten that. Like a storm, for instance.

    hi wendy,
how does one get intouch with firefighter ministries, you perhaps?
  • Brian White

    wendy,
a year ago in may i was diagnosed with lukemia (cml) it was treatable with meds with possible complete remission. well the wonder drug didnt work exactly how it was supposed to and now i am in need to have a bone marrow transplant. im asking for all of gods people to pray for me and my family. iknow GOD is still the great pysician. i just found out i have a rare dna type which makes it hard to find a doner. thanks for the support. brian
  • Brian White

never heard of them. have an address?
  • Mick Mayers

Methinks it has another agenda. It must have heard I was going away. Forcasters said last night that the storm "is staring down the barrel of a gun". I liked that analogy, but apparently the storm is hitting some upper level sharing winds and they thought it would end up going out to sea. We shall see (I was going to use a lame pun like "sea" there, but it was very poor).

Ya know, I thought about joining and would really like to, but the money just isn't there. I know that my Company has the money, but I definitely know they wouldn't sponsor my membership.

I was seeing if there is another organization that they might sponsor me for... like the one for Catholic Firefighters or Christian Firefighters.

    :o)

we did start the foster care to adopt but when we was told we couldnt leave the child with anyone that was not certified for any reason. they told us that if one of our kids would get hurt we would have to take the foster child to the hospital with us. and what really got my husband and me was we was told we couldnt travel to go camping.
