I am a Driver/Engineer currently assigned to an Ambulance. I have been with the fire service since June of 1987, and a paramedic since June of 1991. I am a high angle rescue technician, confined space rescue technician, and trench rescue technician. I also serve as Chaplain and CISM coordinator for our department, as well as serving on several committees

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
This is something I wanted to do my whole life. At age 28 after doing what every one told me I should do, I applied and was hired by the Irving Fire Department. I found what I was meant to do

    Thanks JR. Sounds like some good sound advise, and I guess things that I already know but then to forget sometimes. It good to have it reinstated back to me. I know Paul and I am a member of the Tenn. Federation of Fire Chaplains. Again, I forget about the support that I could receive from that. I just get frustrated sometimes not knowing when to respond and find out situations where I should have been called and was not. But it will all work out. I know that Jesus faced larger obstacles than that! Thanks again, Ted..............
