Got a question about your duties as commo director and how your center works.
  • Jim Creech

Our commo has civilians who swap back and forth between us and popo. We aver. 50-60 calls a day. Popo don't seem to want to change to "plain english" We need a more "disciplined" unit in our commo. How does your commo unit function? Do you have a Fire Officer as a shift supervisor? What kind of hours do they work? Our people WOULD NOT want to be put in commo. We are basically 15 years behind the times in some areas of the organization and well ahead in a few.
  • Jim Creech

    I agree!!!

Hey, I saw you are a Fairfax firefighter. I am trying to get hired there now and just wandering if you have any advice? I have had all my tests done for about a year now but have not heard anything back. I also have some more fire classes that are not on my file but i dont know what what number to call to give them that info. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
