About Me:
In 1991 I joined FTIFC#1 and began my career as a volunteer firefighter. I spent 10 years, (on and off), with them and during my time I held the office of secretary for 2 years and vice president for 2 years.
Due to the close proximity of my home to the firehouse, I made first due a majority of the calls and learned a lot, real quick! This department is one of the most professional volunteer fire depts I have seen in action and they taught me a lot.
Around 9/11/2001 I became a paid firefighter/First Responder for St. Andrews PSD, Charleston SC. This was one of the greatest moments of my life, to wake up every few days and put on my uniform.
Unfortunately, September 2002 my father passed away and i had to move back to Jersey to take care of my mom and brother.
At this time I am hoping to get back with SAFD and continue having one of the greatest jobs in life.
Day Job:
Hopefully paid ff in Iraq soon.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I became a volunteer firefighter when I was 21 to change my life. I was going nowhere, hanging with the wrong crowd and it just wasn't where I wanted my life to, so, I talked to a few HS friends, who were volunteers and that was it, i was geared up a few days later and have never looked back
Why I Love Fire/EMS
Running into a burning building..Nah, just kidding. The respect you get from people and friends, the responsibility of providing a protective service for the community i lived in and the knowledge.
