About Me:
My name is Christina Marie but you can call me Chris Christi or Christina. I'm 19 years old and I work at Rural Metro Ambulance. I went to college for a semester and hated it.. I would like to go back but I am not sure for what yet. Lol so I guess I gotta figure that out first. I joined the volley service as soon as I could. I'm third generation in at my company and pretty well known... well my last name at least lol. My grandfather is most definitly my role model. He helped biuld my fire hall and was active in it until they forced him to retire hah. After him my dad and aunt joined. My dad retired and my aunt is a buffalo fire fighter but still comes on volley calls. Her husband ( my uncle ) works as a fire instructor at Montour Falls Fire Academy. He's also a volunteer with my company. Anyways.. I work a minimum of 50 hours a week and I love it. Haven't had to much with my partners but hopefully soon I will have at least one good one lol.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I took my EMT in high school and loved it. I knew that I wanted to help people and so I joined. It is also almost a family tradition. My grandpa was a huge part of the company, my dad, aunt and uncle are also firefighters. My cousin then joined and then it was my turn along with my sister. I absolutely love doing what I do and couldn't imagine doing anything else.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
Knowing that not everyone can do what I do, that I am a special person. Seeing the look on peoples face when we pull up when they need us and being a role model.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
As far as EMS goes they are thinking about closing hospitals in my city... not a good idea. Our most popular hospital to be transported too is about a 1-5 hour wait for a bed and they want to close hospitals... ridiculous.

As far as Fire goes - same BS different company

Hey Christina, Hope you're well. A bunch of years ago I built the Spencer Gifts in the Macinly Mall out in Hamburg, (probably spelled it wrong), is that store still in there? That was a pretty fun town. We would go into the Irish ward to party. Hope to talk to you soon.

Check out the some of the Groups, I have started up "Close Calls" an area to tell your story of what you did and should not of so others learn. "Roll Calls" this is another group that allows you to tell us about your station and district. "Trainers Corner" is another area that you can read about issues other trainers have or deal with. As well if your not a trainer you can ask questions or state concerns you have. If you have a hard time locating them just go to my site and look at the bottom left hand corner.

Enjoy, be safe and remember we all come home.
