Why I Joined Fire/EMS: To help my community. We were having problems getting people to volunteer so I decided to join my husband in volunteering. They really needed somone with some medical background and this is what got me started doing this volunteer work.

You've been in the fire service ofr 5 years and you are the chief!?!? That is crazy. Was it an elected position?

Still assistant chief in 5 years? That's quick. Too quick. On my department you can't even test for chauffer until you have 5 years. Interesting to see how other departments do it. Very interesting.
